As
mentioned, this option presents an opportunity to provide convenience and a

without leaving the environs of their home or office. Being the Internet, all
barriers of proximity or locale are a thing of the past. A card transaction can
be processed through the Payment Gateway that can be integrated with
your website which ensures that all card related details will be processed in a
secure environment and will encrypted in a 128 bit SSL format throughout the
transaction flow. This excellent product is commercially referred to as
Payseal.
To

Internet payments in a completely online real time environment

of transactions.
The

MasterCard.
Background

Current Client Base
We currently have over 180 clients
across a wide array of industry segments including Indian Railways,
Indiatimes.com, Rediff.com, RPG, Indiainfoline, Traveljini, Apollo Health,

The Process Flow
- Customer

represented in the website
- Merchant
presents the order / reservations page to the customer with the
transaction amount in India Rupees ( & preferred Foreign Currency in
case of international transactions - The currency conversion from INR to
the selected foreign exchange would be performed by the Merchant )
- On Selection
of credit card as a payment mode, the merchant servers would transmit an
encrypted digital order to the payment gateway systems, with the amount
field in INR. (A
client software would be installed at the Merchant server site to
facilitate generation of encrypted digital orders and decryption of
digital receipts. The digital order generated would contain the session
id, merchant id key, return url, amount and locale to identify the
transaction)
- Customer would
be presented with two secure Payseal screens (128 bit SSL protected).
Payseal would capture consumer card details from the consumer browser,
based on the consumer order information provided by the server systems.
- Payseal would
receive the authorization for the required amount and pass on the same to
the client server via a digital receipt.
It
would take under 15 seconds for Merchant to receive the digital receipt on
receiving the details from the customer
- Merchant would
confirm the order to the customer in the selected property.
- Merchant to
capture the transaction for every sub merchant within 13 days from the
date of authorization receipt. Online capture would occur via a merchant
administration module provided to the merchant, providing access to the
gateway server.

receive transaction amount net of the agreed transaction charges into the
respective ICICI Bank merchant id accounts on submission of POD (Proof of
Delivery / Completion of Service).
- Merchant

Certificate) documents to deposit foreign exchange in their EEFC account
for foreign exchange transactions.
Main Features
- Customer is
provided with two SSL HTML pages from the Payseal server – wherein the merchant
does not receive the card details.

the authorization confirmation is 10 – 15 seconds from the time the
consumer confirms the Pay button.
- A unique and
extensive Merchant administration module facilitating online
capture of transactions and extensive records of all transaction
information conducted via the ICICI payment gateway. The Merchant

We empower eMerchants to collect online payments through multiple instruments:
Details of collection
instruments currently available are given below:
a) Credit Cards: Credit
Cards are the most popular forms of online payment instruments at this point in
time. We enable the eMerchants to accept the following Credit Cards*** on their
websites: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Diners Club and JCB. These could
be issued in India or anywhere else in the world. The per transaction cost
(TDR=Transaction Discount Rate) for credit cards will vary according to the

*** CCAvenue is the only 3rd party payment gateway in India to be certified by
American Express globally as well as the only 3rd party payment gateway in
India to be selected as MasterCard Member Service Provider for the Indian
region.
Merchants choosing Axis Bank to revive or activate MasterCard as a payment
option on their website need to place a fixed deposit for Rs. 10,000/- with
Axis Bank. This will enable Axis Bank to place a lien over it to cover any
chargeback losses.
Please note:
A merchant has to maintain a minimum balance of Rs. 1000 in his account at any
given time. All payouts will be made after this requirement has been
fulfilled.
b) Debit Cards: In a country like India, a
large portion of the market holds Debit Cards rather than Credit Cards. We
enable merchants to capture this audience by processing Visa Electron Debit
Cards of the following banks: Axis Bank, Canara Bank, Citibank, Corporation
Bank, Cosmos Bank, Deutsche Bank, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Indian
Overseas Bank, ING Vysya Bank, Karur Vysya Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Punjab
National Bank, Standard Chartered Bank and State Bank of India.

To get your payments you need to "capture" your transaction from the
accounting module. When a transaction is successful from the payment gateway
this is reflected in your account with CCAvenue in pending mode. You as the
merchant will have to login to your account on www.CCAvenue.com and mark the
transaction as shipped / executed and enter relevant data requested.
PAYMENT CYCLE:
You have 12 days from the receipt of the orders to execute and capture the
order amounts. If your business model demands that you capture the amount in
advance for future delivery, i.e. a period beyond 12 days from receipt of the
order, and your customer is explicitly agreeable to this, then you may do so
before the 12th day. Orders not captured will not be reflected in your account
after this.
Orders can be accessed by logging into your CCAvenue Account with the username
and password registered on sign-up.
All orders shipped/executed until Thursday midnight IST are processed for
payment the following day. Transactions are then paid-out to your designated
bank account by depositing cheques in Mumbai to your bank account (if your bank
permits it) or by sending you a Citibank at par cheque, encashable in your
city, by courier to reach you no later than the next Monday or Tuesday.
Modes of payment to
choose from:
1) Direct NEFT settlement from CCAvenue to the merchant’s bank would ensure
that the payouts happen without time loss and without dependency on the courier
company. The dispatch details of the same will be emailed to you by Monday.
2) Citibank at par cheque payable as a local cheque in your city, will be
couriered every Friday evening via a PROFESSIONAL Courier and the dispatch
details of the same will be emailed to you the following Monday.
3) Alternatively, if you have an account in any of the banks listed below, your
Cheque can be directly deposited to your account with same being reflected the
next day.
