Privacy Policy for OSTPL

This Privacy Policy explains how OSTPL, operated by Onweb Software Technologies Pvt Ltd, collects, uses, shares and retains personal information when you visit our website or use our business messaging platform and related support services (the “Services”).

1. Scope and our role
This policy covers our website visitors, business customers and their authorized users. It also explains how we process information about people who communicate with our business customers through WhatsApp.
For account administration, website operation and our own customer support, OSTPL determines how information is used. When we process recipient details and conversations on behalf of a business customer, we act on that customer’s instructions. The customer is responsible for its own privacy notices, lawful use of information and recipient permissions. If you message one of our customers, please also consult that business’s privacy policy.
2. Information we process
Depending on the features you use, we process:
• Account and business information: names, business contact details, organization information, account settings and support requests.
• Connected Meta and WhatsApp business information: identifiers for your business portfolio, WhatsApp Business Account and business phone numbers; business profile details; message templates and their approval status; and the permissions and authorization information needed to operate your connection.
• Messaging information: recipient phone numbers, contact names provided by customers, message content and attachments, timestamps, delivery/read status and replies handled through the Services.
• Technical information: IP addresses, browser/device information and operational, security and error logs generated when you use the Services.
We obtain information directly from you, from business customers that use the Services, and from Meta/WhatsApp through connections authorized by those customers. Connecting a business account does not give us access to unrelated personal WhatsApp conversations.
3. How we use information
We use information to operate customer accounts; connect authorized business assets; send and receive business messages on customer instructions; create and manage message templates; display delivery status; provide support; diagnose service problems; protect the Services against abuse and unauthorized access; and meet applicable legal obligations.
We use contact details for service notices. Any optional promotional communication from OSTPL is subject to the permissions required by applicable law and an available opt-out method.
4. Recipient permission and choices
Business customers must obtain the notices and permissions required to contact recipients through WhatsApp, including the applicable WhatsApp opt-in permission, and respect requests to stop receiving messages.
To stop messages from a business using OSTPL, use the opt-out method in its message, contact that business directly, or use WhatsApp’s blocking/reporting tools. Contact OSTPL if you need assistance identifying the business responsible for a message. Withdrawal of permission does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
5. When we share information
Information is shared with:
• The business customer and its authorized users, as needed to provide their messaging service.
• Meta/WhatsApp, as needed to connect business accounts and process messages and templates. Their own terms and privacy policies also apply.
• Service providers that support our hosting, storage, operations or support, where they need access to perform those services on our behalf.
• Authorities or other recipients when disclosure is required by applicable law, or is necessary and legally permitted to protect rights, safety or the Services.
• Parties involved in a merger, acquisition or business transfer, subject to applicable protections and any required notice.
6. Retention and deletion
We retain information for the period needed for the purposes described in this policy, customer instructions and applicable legal obligations.
Retention depends on the type of information, the purpose for which it was collected, the customer relationship and any applicable legal preservation requirements. Contact info@ostpl.com for information about retention applicable to your account or to request deletion.
7. Requesting access, correction or deletion
Depending on applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, deletion of or a copy of your information, or object to or restrict certain processing. You may also withdraw consent where processing depends on it and raise a complaint with the appropriate authority.
Email info@ostpl.com with the subject “OSTPL Privacy Request” or “OSTPL Data Deletion Request”. Describe your request and provide the account email or business/phone identifier needed to locate the relevant records. Do not send passwords, access tokens or unnecessary identity documents. We may request proportionate information to verify your identity and authority before responding.
If your information belongs to a business customer’s messaging records, please contact that business first. We will assist it with requests as required by our agreement and applicable law. Account disconnection stops future access through that connection, but a separate deletion request may be needed to remove stored records. We will explain any applicable retention exceptions.
8. Security
No internet service or storage system can guarantee absolute security. Please protect your account credentials and contact info@ostpl.com if you suspect unauthorized use of your account or disclosure of information.
9. Website technologies
This privacy policy page does not include analytics scripts, advertising trackers or forms. Other pages and connected third-party services may have their own functionality and privacy notices. You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Contact info@ostpl.com for questions about service providers and the processing location applicable to your service.
10. Children and third-party services
The Services are intended for business use and are not directed to children. If you believe a child’s information has been collected improperly, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

11. Updates and contact
We may update this policy when our Services or practices change. We will publish the revised policy with a new effective date and provide additional notice where required.
